Overview

Adobe Audition is a professional audio editor that assists educational institutions and businesses to develop, modify, restore and mixing audio files. Administrators can control on-clip gain adjustments, reverb background noises, and set the loudness of music files using waveform scaling.

Adobe Audition provides access to the essential sound panel that allows businesses to create envelopes to duck music behind audio clips, blend volume levels, including special effects, and repair sound. Using Adobe Sensei’s machine learning technology, teachers can make remixes of files and develop shorter versions of the original data.

Whether you are looking for a simple audio edit or a complex multitrack session Adobe Audition has it all. I’ve been using this since it was called Cool Edit Pro in 2004 and it only gets better with age. Once you get part the overwhelming feature rich UX you are going to love this software.

I can work in the cloud in the Adobe environment. I love it because it’s so easy to use. Importing mp3 and other formats is really easy. The compression of the final product is good. Compatibility with other programs is excellent.

The learning curve for Adobe Audition is pretty flat, actually. After just a little while playing around, I was able to get into a groove and edit my podcast effectively and easily. Recently I figured out how to utilize a file storage system so that we could have multiple editors work on a single project, so that’s great.

What I like most about Adobe Audition is its genuinely vast library of royalty-free sound effects, which can be easily acquired and dragged/dropped into an audio project. What also helps is that all of these sound effects that are freely available to use are high quality – something very rarely found in such a simple manner. Often free sound effects vary greatly in quality, so it is great to have so many good quality samples ready to go.
