Reviews
Overall: In today’s world cyber security is always top on a companies mind. Being a tool that covers many angles helps me show the value in the tool at renewal time.
Pros: The ability to setup different policies and have them applied to different users, As we all know the C level usually dont appreciate the barriers some products make mandatory, I can make that choice and add some as quiet features for them instead of having a pop up hassle them. Also the broad scope Bitdefender covers as well as being known as one of the best.
Cons: Very little would I fine tune but recently they came out with a risk assessment module and instead of making me call a sales person for the patch management solution a simple cost associated with it when I click on it would be nice
Overall: Overall, this is a great product that is compatible with everything we throw on it, including Macs. It’s fairly easy to deploy, although the automatic removal of old AV doesn’t always work.
Pros: Bit Defender is easy to set up and deploy. You can create a couple of baseline policies, then clone them to customize them for other clients. If you change something in the original policy, it updates all of them so it’s easy to manage your exceptions client-wide. It also has great features such as internet blocking by category, blacklist or whitelist, as well as many modules such as an antiransomware “vaccine” which I have not seen anywhere else.
Cons: The hardest part of using this is the reporting. We haven’t been able to integrate it with Autotask/Datto, so you need to actually log into the dashboard daily.
What do you like best?
It is very interesting how you can manage GravityZone features and actions on the site, where you have the possibility, for example, to put their system into different groups or profiles and decide whether they should enable or disable certain features.
What do you dislike?
Exporting data from the web interface is definitely not very easy and intuitive, currently it is too “manual” and it takes a lot of time to do. A greater automation of this feature would be very useful.
What do you like best?
The best thing about Bitdefender is its ease of use and setup. With the cloud based product you can setup agents on your machine with specific policies for your environment. The most secure endpoint I have ever used.
What do you dislike?
Removal of PC’s from your licenses and running tasks is a bit cumbersome from the cloud console.
