Reviews
Overall: It was a nice experience with the Mailgun so far.
Pros: Mailgun is the one of the best email software, from validation to deliverability, parsing to SMTP, and much more. It’s the great tool with all in one email solution.
Cons: I believe it’s the complete solutions and having all sorts of features and functionalities.
Overall: I needed a free solution to send transactional emails on wordpress. And Mailgun came as one of the favourites and also they had a good free plan. Moreover, it has integration with a mail plugin that I was using. So it seemed a good idea to try it. I’m using it for almost 2 years and it was easy to setup and it’s working great since then without any need to fix or change anything.
Pros: You can try Mailgun and really use it on your site for free Great customer support that will treat you well even if you’re using free plan and don’t know nothing about emails. Being one of the most popular company, there is lots of information around the web on how-to-dos. Easy integration with wordpress plugins.
Cons: If you don’t have a dedicated IP, your reputation will be influenced by other users. So if someone is using Mailgun abusively and is using the same IP to send emails you may get some problems.

One of the features I love from Mailgun is quick view, which allows me to see a screen grab of the emails that were sent to the recipients. I can see the emails being sent from the form or PHP scripts on the Mailgun Control Panel. Here’s what I can see immediately on the Mailgun Panel. I know exactly which email was sent properly and which one was not. Mailgun’s API is also extremely extensive and allows me to integrate with other services that I use and to provide an option for users to send messages from other services (such as Facebook or other emailing services). I have the ability to create back-end hooks that would fetch emails that were sent from the panel and parse them for further actions.
What do you dislike?
The panel can be confusing and not very friendly to navigate especially when you have multiple domains. I also wish that I could see the SMTP password again once the domain is added. Not having alternative login methods to the Mailgun service would be a solution. There is an option to reset the password to see the password once again, but I would also have to update all of the SMTP password from where I used Mailgun.

The awesome feature about this service is that the dashboard helps us to see whatever data we may need from analytics or debugging. We never had any trouble keeping Mailgun up and working for ventures. It’s to the level where several product choices with different features or use cases are available.
What do you dislike?
One factor I take into account is that if you compete with the other options available in the market, the expense of the paying levels is expensive. For an account with some type of functionality, the starting price is quite high, which makes it impossible to consider using their platform for a small job.
What do you like best?
I like that it is very easy to understand and implement, it provides lots of reports and analytics to help us keep track of data, it also offers an affordable entry plan for users who are just starting out, it also allows for tracking of emails. and of the campaigns, it also provides documentation of integration of sending email, the analyzes are useful to see trends on how our emails are received, the interface to track emails is very clear and secure.
What do you dislike?
I have never encountered problems with this tool, so far it offers me everything I need to do my job correctly.
