Reviews
Overall: It is my go to.. I think about OneDrive as my hard drive, Love it. However, I speak for the many persons who are frustrated because they are not tech savvy.
Pros: I loved that you have all you documents synced onto your personal devices, and I USED to love the fact that there was a separation of concern regarding the shared sync tool from OneDrive and my personal OneDrive file. This allow my team members files to be in its own “space” and this was a good thing. This was what I liked about the OneDrive ….. but
Cons: OneDrive has changed in 2021 and this change has brought about headache for all. No syncing because the OneDrive is locked and awaiting action by users who has no idea as to what is wrong… Removal of the SharePoint/OneDrive sync has now left me with the newest experiment that is named the “ShortCut inside the OneDrive” these shortcuts are difficult to manage. I am used to improvement and enhancements, but when having to deal with thousand of employees that are just getting their feet wet, some changes are “UnWelcome”
Overall: An excellent product from a company that understands where cloud computing is going. I syncs right up with all the microsoft office suite in terms of file compatibility and the cloud served office suite is fantastic. That’s everything I need on a daily basis.
Pros: Adds a whole new level to my data protection. It is extremely full featured but easy to use and navigate. It’s tied in directly to Microsoft 360 from which I and 5 other members of my household have access to 1 TB of space for each person. It has all the bells and whistles of any good cloud package and does file sharing safely and easily. It also provides a separate strong box for your files that you want an extra level of security for.
Cons: I would really like to see the addition of more functionality for teams for collaboration on projects.
What do you like best?
The Microsoft OneDrive comes in handy! In the office, we have the network set up where everyone has their own personal drive on their computer. When we had an outage, and everything went down, the people who stored their documents on the OneDrive were able to keep on working because they were able to access it. I love how the one drive can be shared between the company, and you have your own one drive. I prefer storing all of my documents on the OneDrive because it is more convenient to get your documents. If you move to another computer, you can easily keep your items there and transfer them to your new laptop.
What do you dislike?
So far, I can’t find what I dislike about it.
What do you like best?
One drive has been very useful for my business. I love that I can automatically sync my documents folder to Onedrive and access anywhere in the world on the go via One Drive. If I make changes, it automatically syncs so when I log into my laptop, the changes sync up there from the other computer I made edits on in the One Drive. I like that it works across multiple plateforms: Apple, Samsung, Windows, etc. As far as I know, it works with Windows 10 and Microsoft 365 well. Additionally, there is a file sharing functionality that is pretty easy to use. I really think this is useful in a business setting.
What do you dislike?
There are not many things to dislike, but it does seem like some of the competition of other cloud file storage sites seem to offer more storage at the same price than Microsoft OneDrive. Also, I have noticed that only specific folders are synced and that there are some folders I’d like to sync that just don’t seem to work out.
