Redis Enterprise provide the ability to make our application highly available using their XDCR feature. We setup a multi-data center cluster the replicated in real-time so that we could design our application to actively server from multiple data centers without any additional latency.
If I, as a developer, had the luxury of choosing a database by just a logo or colour palette initially, I would definitely choose a Redis (Redis Enterprise) because one of my favourite colours is scarlet. Surely there are other reasons for liking Redis: intuitiveness, innovative features, flexibility, scalability, ecosystem.
I have participated in the choice of Redis to implement a in-memory cache. I consider Redis a very good choice in the field of databases, and the best of its kind (inmemory database). It’s cheap, fast and efficient.
Redis is an in-memory data structure used as a cache and database. Redis supports data structure like Hash, String, Lists, and sets. Speed is very fast and supports many programming languages It is open-source and stable so, this is the reason to say ‘Yes’ to Redis.
Redis is best for caching, easy to set up, and easy to use. I’m still new with Redis, but I really like Redis because Redis is really helping me to cache data, I usually use Redis on Heroku or on my local machine, it’s really easy to setup Redis on Heroku because you can just select from the Heroku features you need, and select the Redis features, it really helps me to deploy an app to Heroku using Redi
Its reliability is not as good as others. I’ve got several disconnected events and its not because of network connection. I’ve debugging it, and the problem is from the redis connection lost without a reason. and when i want to debug its value using Redis Commander its not as friendly as the others
