Sage50 is a widely used product for a good reason. Sage is very user friendly and combines many of the necessary items for businesses. This includes payroll, inventory tracking, invoicing, etc. One of the best about Sage is that it can grow with your business and personalized to a certain point.
There is a lot of things that are already set up for you to just hit the ground running and a lot of items integrated into the system to help small businesses that need a solution but no time to customize a whole system.
Sage has been the bread and butter of accountants across the UK for many years. Once you have learned how to use it, it is easy to use. Customer, Supplier, Nominal and Bank ledger are in a convenient layout for you to drill down into. Reports are good, and surprisingly intuitive for their age. The bank reconciliation function is old-school, but works perfectly. The financials function means that you can easily go in and edit a transaction.
Very intuitive, easy to perform everyday tasks. It has very important sales charts, In the main frame we have all the necessary information, we don’t need to go around opening several menus.
To be honest, it is the only accounting software our company had ever used, so it’s hard to compare. I do like the main page where I can see most of the important information at a glance. Also we use it for payroll, so I like that it is all integrated into the one program, so we can print cheques and print T4’s
Sage Pastel Partner is a complete package, with all the modules integrating automatically. The system provides good security and defined user-level-access. It is good value for money, and easy to understand. The add-on modules make this a super program, where you don’t need any other software assistance
