Reviews
What I like most about Concur is that it is intuitive. If you’ve used an expense processing software before, you will be able to use Concur without any training or confusion. I’ve used Concur at two consecutive companies now. I’ve never been trained in it and I was able to use it without any issues from the first login. I’ve also trained other executive assistants in the software at both companies.
I used to love the travel tool I haven’t used it in a while thanks to the current pandemic but it is amazing that after I was notified that I must be at X location 95% of the time I could do the whole booking process in less than 10 minutes, as for expense management is OK if the charge was made with the company card, otherwise, it is frustratingly slow, most of my expenses are done with the company card so I don’t matter that much about it but some of my coworkers hate that.
Invoice management improved a lot in 2020, I really hated doing invoicing in Concur before since it wasn’t too reliable, the format usually came in the wrong order when importing it and was faster to manually type it in but right now I mostly review it and submit it, it has become rarer when I have to do a manual intervention.
I really like the ease of tracking and maintaining company expenses in one convenient location. As a company with a large number of employees, this system allows the expenses to be tracked as well as reimbursement to employees for expenses they pay for upfront. You can set it for approval and review needed from their direct manager prior to the reimbursement being issued. The ease of direct deposit to reimburse employees is a great feature of Concur.
Concur is the least intuitive software I’ve ever used. Uploading receipts is a pain and they’re difficult to identify which receipts are the ones I’m looking for. Itemizing expenses is even worse. I have used this at two different companies and at both organizations I dread expense reports in large part due to how cumbersome Concur is.
